FAQs

Can I Buy Crossrope From Retail Stores?

Not at the moment. We operate an online store based in Australia, with no physical retail sites.
We do this to cut costs so we can keep our pricing in line with, or better than, Crossrope USA (our supplier). We are very reliable with deliveries and offer a free Size Exchange in case you happen to order the wrong size.

Size Exchange Process

We offer a "No Nonsense" exchange program if you choose the wrong size rope or set.

Our expectation is that you have the time to try your new ropes and make sure the rope size is correct based on your height and technique. When you first receive your ropes, try them on a soft non-abrasive surface (eg. carpet, rubber) and if you're happy with the size, you're good to go.

If you're not happy with the size and you feel the length of the rope is too long or short, let us know and we'll initiate the Size Exchange Process:

  1. We'll ask you to send your ropes back to us via AusPost and update us with the tracking number.
  2. Once we receive your returned ropes, we'll resend your new size ropes within 48 hours. We'll also cover the postage cost of this new delivery.

It's that simple.

We recognize the sizing of ropes can vary across individuals, based on jumping technique and experience. It's, therefore, our promise to make sure you end up with the right size for you, or we'll refund your money.

Refund Policy - Any Reason

We stand by the quality of our products and the experience you will have with them.

So, if you are not happy with your rope, for whatever reason, simply send them back for a full refund within 60 days of delivery.

It's that simple. No risk at all.

If you would like to return your product for a refund, simply contact us and we'll initiate the Refund Process.

How does it Work?

Simple....

  1. We'll ask you to send your product back to us.
  2. Upon receiving the returned items, we will inspect to ensure all items are returned.
  3. We will then organise the refund back to the original payment method within 5 business days,

Does the Rope Length Include the Handles?

No, it does not include the handles. As with most jump ropes, the measured length only accounts for the distance between handles. (including the ropes and clips)

Do You Sell The Crossrope Mat In Australia?

Unfortunately, we have sold out of the Crossrope Mat at this time. We have opened a waiting list for our customers to be notified when they become available. Waiting List

We would usually recommend a simple, cost-effective, 8-10mm thick yoga mat from any good sports retailer. This should do an effective job.

What If I Choose The Wrong Size?

Don’t worry. If you’re not happy with your size, contact us within 60 days and we’ll exchange your size.

Please note that this only applies to customers in Australia.

What If I'm in between 2 Sizes?

If you happen to fall in-between two sizes (example – you’re 5’8.5″ or 1.74m tall and you’re not sure whether to go Medium or Large), we recommend using the following guidelines:

  • If you’re new to jump rope training and have never jumped before, go with the longer option (Large, in this example) as this will give you more room for error as you’re learning.
  • If you already have experience with jumping or you’re generally well-coordinated, then it really comes down to personal preference. If you want to maximize the speed of your jumping, go with the shorter option (Medium, in this example). If you generally enjoy jumping with a longer rope for tricks and freestyle jumping, go with the longer option (Large, in this example).

Does the Length Change depending on your arm length?

Actually, no.

Arm length does not change the appropriate size recommendation. Whether you have long or short arms for your height, the proper hand positioning is exactly the same. Your hands should be at hip height, about 8″-12″ from your body on each side. If you have longer arms, try bending at the elbows a bit more to keep your hands in the proper location, but you should NOT get a longer rope.

Which Ropes or Sets do you suggest for Beginners?

Weighted ropes (like the 1/2 LB Infinity Rope in our Get Lean Set) are great for beginners and are much easier to learn with than a standard PVC rope.

When the weight is distributed throughout the length of the rope, you get extra feedback that allows you to time your jumps better. This enables even the most uncoordinated of jumpers to time his or her jumps and to build coordination, rhythm, and confidence.

We generally recommend our Get Lean Set for Beginners as a great starting point to work on technique and get some experience with weighted skipping ropes before adding heavier ropes to the set.

The Get Lean Set is our best selling product.

Using an Existing Jump Rope

If you already own a jump rope and you like the length, measure the length of your rope between the handles (not including the handles) and choose the Crossrope length that is closest to your existing rope.

Do the Ropes come with any Warranty?

All Handles come with a lifetime warranty (handles purchased prior to 2020 come with a 2-year Warranty) but unfortunately, we cannot offer any warranty on the ropes.

As you can imagine, with the variety of surfaces that people may jump rope on, it makes it very difficult for us to guarantee the lifespan of a cable. One customer may jump rope on a rough brick driveway, which will wear the cables down much faster than a customer jumping on a smooth rubber gym floor. To extend the lifetime of your jump rope, it's about choosing softer surfaces, like rubber mats/gym floors over harsh surfaces like outdoor areas and concrete.

Whilst the Infinity Series cables have improved coating and can be used in an outdoor environment, the simple fact is that they will last longer on softer surfaces, as any rope would. There's simply no way we can control the life-span of the cable given the various types of surfaces it can and will be used on

*Please note: these charts are for reference ONLY based on aggregated data. This data is reviewed periodically and adjusted accordingly. Fit may vary depending on the form, use of ropes, and experience.

WHAT IF I ALREADY OWN A JUMP ROPE?

Great! Just measure the length of your rope between the handles and choose the Crossrope length that is closest to that from the chart above.

DOES IT MATTER IF MY ARMS OR LONG OR SHORT?

No. Arm length does not change the appropriate size recommendation. For proper hand positioning, your hands should be at hip height, about 8″-12″ from your body on each side. If you have longer arms, try bending at the elbows a bit more to keep your hands in the proper location, but you should NOT get a longer rope.

WHAT IF THE SIZE ISN'T RIGHT?

No worries! Take a look at our EXCHANGE PAGE for more information on our 60 DAY Exchange Policy.

Are the Infinity Ropes & Handles Compatible with the First Gen Ropes & Handles?

Firstly, it's important to note that we are currently in the process of discontinuing the First Generation Series as they are being phased out. We will continue to carry the individual ropes and handles until stock runs out, but the focus is definitely moving to the Next Gen Infinity Series.

The First Generation ropes and handles are not compatible with the Infinity ropes and handles.

What is the benefit of using a Crossrope System? (More than 1 rope)

The benefit of having a system (2 or more cables) is that you can easily vary your training style.

Are you a beginner? It’s easier to learn on mid-weight ropes like the Explode and Stamina. Want to train speed and quickness? Use a lighter cable.

Want to train strength and stamina? Use a medium or heavyweight cable. These options all give distinctly different training advantages.

As you build up strength and skill with progressively larger cables you will notice incredible gains in fitness ability, whether it is upper body functional strength with the heavy cables or double under stamina.

In these ways, a system offers a huge advantage over a single jump rope for any training and fitness goals.

Which Crossrope Set Should I Get?

This really depends on your training goals and your budget.

If you include rope jumping as an integral part of your workout routine, we do recommend our Get Fit Bundle. There is no comparable system out there and it gives you an incredible range of training options, both indoor and outdoor. However, it is an investment and there are great lower-priced options if you’re looking for an introduction to weighted and adjustable ropes.

Beginner? The Get Lean Set is the popular choice for beginners as it provides a high-quality speed rope with a heavier weight option so you can still garner the benefits of drastically varied jump rope training.

Looking to level up? The Get Strong Set is designed for strength and power. Great for all fitness levels. It comes with fun and challenging app workouts built for a full-body strength and endurance development.

Can I Use Heavier Ropes With Slim Handles?

Yes, all of the Infinity Ropes and Handles are compatible.

However, we highly recommend upgrading to a Get Strong Set if you feel its time to increase your weight. The Power Handles and heavier rope options are specially designed to give you the optimal power work out.

Can Crossrope Jump Ropes Be Used Outdoors?

We do not recommend them for outdoor use unless you have some sort of rubberized pad or mat, or even cardboard to jump on.

Crossrope jump ropes are intended for non-abrasive indoor surfaces. In order to safely benefit from the high-performance nature of steel cable, there is a vinyl coating to provide some protection and to prevent the ropes from crimping.

The sacrifice for this high performance is that the vinyl will wear down if it is used outdoors on unprotected surfaces.

If you do opt to use the cables outdoors, you can expect the vinyl to wear down. However, the rope core itself is durable enough to remain intact and prevent the rope from snapping.

Can I Travel On A Plane With Crossrope?

While it's rare, we do know of instances were Crossrope cables have been confiscated by airport security officials. We recommend that you pack your Crossrope in checked baggage or check with airline officials prior to travel.

Whats the different between Crossrope (2019) and Crossrope (2020)?

Our Crossrope (2020) jump rope sets come with our new 2020 handle designs that have been re-engineered to give you a smoother, more enhanced jumping experience. The new handles utilize smart design principles to completely eliminate recoil and clicking while new textured latches make it easier and faster to swap ropes during a workout. We've also made the handles shorter, lighter, and more ergonomic to minimize blisters for new and experienced jumpers. Apart from the handle designs, we have also made some fun upgrades to our packaging, carry pouches, and more!

Can I use the Crossrope (2020) handles with my old ropes?

Yes! Our new Slim (2020) and Power (2020) handles are fully compatible with your existing Get Lean and Get Strong ropes, as well as our Speed LE ropes.

Are the (2020) handles really backed by a lifetime warranty?

Yes! Our Crossrope (2020) Slim and Power handles are covered by our new lifetime warranty. That means if you ever experience any issues with your new (2020) handles, our support team will provide you with a replacement right away. Please note that our previous generation handles and limited edition handles are still covered by our 2 year warranty.

Care And Use

The Crossrope System is a high-quality, high-performance jump rope system. Here are some tips and suggestions for proper use, care, and maintenance of your Crossrope.

Storage:

It is recommended that you avoid storing your ropes in cold temperatures or direct sunlight. The cold temperatures can cause the nylon and PVC coating to become stiffer and may reduce durability. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the coating to harden. It is fine to store your ropes by coiling or hanging. If they are coiled, you may need to pull the rope taut prior to jumping if it retains excessive curvature.

Handles

Slim Handles

These handles are very smooth and have high quality, encased, free-spinning ball bearings. They are intended primarily for use with the 1/4 LB and 1/2 LB ropes, though they are also fully compatible with the Speed Ropes, Speed Pro Ropes, and Heavy Ropes. Though they are rust-resistant, keep the handles and bearings away from water and moisture.

Power Handles

The Power Handles are very smooth and extraordinarily strong. The new re-designed Power handles offer a strong, comfortable, and ergonomic grip built for jumping with your 1 LB and 2 LB and all heavy jump ropes. While they're intended primarily for use with the 1 LB and 2 LB ropes, they are also fully compatible with the 1/4 LB, 1/2 LB, Speed Ropes, and Heavy and Ultra Heavy Ropes. Though they are rust-resistant, keep the handles and bearings away from water and moisture.

Ropes

The cable core of all ropes not only enhances speed and performance but makes breaking the rope virtually impossible, particularly with the heavier cables. The outer protective coating on the cables will undergo natural wear and tear, but the ropes are still functional even if the cable becomes exposed as long as you cover the exposed area with heavy-duty tape or protective material.

For safety reasons, do not jump with exposed cable. In order to extend the life of the protective PVC coating, do not store your ropes in extreme hot or cold or in direct sunlight. This may make the coating susceptible to cracking.

Surfaces

The Crossrope Jump Rope system can be used on a wide range of surfaces. However, using the ropes on a rough surface (such as road gravel) the longevity of the rope will be decreased. To ensure your ropes last for a longer time, we recommend using a Jump Rope Mat or Gym Mat (you can grab one from Bunnings) to better protect the PVC coating.
