The PVC Freestyle Rope is yet another example of Crossrope continuing to innovate, and their attention to detail really shows in their latest addition to their line of ropes. The rubberised and studded handles provide better grip compared to standard handles found on most PVC ropes, the 5mm rope has a nylon core (currently the only PVC rope available in Australia that has this feature) for greater durability and less kinking compared to solid core PVC ropes, and the two part twist connectors to lock the rope in place are so much easier to adjust compared to the typical connectors found in most PVC ropes – they even threw in an extra connector for good measure which is handy.
My only minor criticism about the rope was the way it was packaged. It was folded in on itself which resulted in some temporary kinks, but after several uses during some speedy workouts where I was rotating the rope at no less than 254 rotations per minute (#skipNshuffle), the rope loosened up and the kinks were gone!
I hope that Crossrope will be releasing these PVC ropes again in the future as a permanent product alongside their weighted ropes as they are a superior PVC rope compared to other equivalent ropes currently on the market.
